Hollywood Man Accused of Selling Drugs Out of His Home

An investigation into a trafficking ring in Hollywood led to the arrest of 47-year-old, Aquile Ballate. Several neighbors complained of heavy drug activity and police were notified of a home where large quantities of heroin, fentanyl, and other narcotics were being sold by the convicted drug trafficker.

Ballate was arrested on Friday at his home on the 800 block of North 11th Avenue after police found 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 2.8 grams of cocaine, 11.8 grams of heroin and 21.3 grams of fentanyl.  Ballate faces a number of charges, including fentanyl and heroin trafficking. Ballate is currently on probation after being convicted of grand auto theft in 2013 in Miami-Dade County. He is currently being held in a Pompano Beach jail.
