The world has lost one of man’s best friends, Zsa Zsa— the World’s Ugliest Dog- a nine-year-old English Bull dog.
Owner Megan Brainard shared the devastating news on Tuesday, “I’m sad to share that ZSA ZSA passed away in her sleep last night,” she explained to the TODAY show that the dog had been staying at Brainard’s dad’s house. Yesterday she told them, “He woke up this morning and found her passed away.”
It was just two weeks ago at an annual contest at the Sanoma-Marin County Fair when the nine-year-old dog earned her title as the World’s Ugliest Dog.
Though her fame was short-lived, she was remembered for her droopy tongue, prominent underbite and adorable pink manicure that she rocked during the “World’s Ugliest Dog Contest” that took place on June 23 in Petaluma, California.
Brainard and her husband are still in shock after what has happened and took part in a farewell ceremony with their 15-month-old daughter immediately after Zsa Zsa’s body was brought home.
