New Palm Beach County School Superintendent to be named this week

We will soon know who is replacing Dr. Robert Avossa as Palm Beach County’s school superintendent. Our news partner, CBS 12, says that an announcement is set for Wednesday.

Avossa told the School Board and the media a few weeks ago that he had decided to step down from the job in order to devote more time to his family, and also to accept a new opportunity with LRP Publications in Palm Beach Gardens.

The frontrunners for the superintendent position include: Deputy Superintendent Dr. David Christiansen, Chief Operating Officer Donald E. Fennoy, II, Ed.D., and Chief Academic Officer Keith Oswald.
