US Coast Guard Unloads 7 Tons of Coke at Port Everglades

The U.S. Coast Guard will unload 14,000 pounds of cocaine in Port Everglades on Tuesday.

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton will offload 7 tons or about $190 million worth of cocaine seized in the Eastern Pacific Ocean today at Port Everglades.

Crews interdicted the drugs off the coasts of Mexico and Central and South America.

Multiple crews seized the cocaine from 7 different cases.

According to the Coast Guard, the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Basin are known drug transit zones.
