The internet has found plenty to criticize with these Disney live-action remakes.  But one of the most common gripes is that the CGI-created animal characters look too real.  That “photorealism”, as it’s called, really drains the personality out of the characters.  It was very apparent in ”  The Lion King”   and it looks like the same thing is happening with the upcoming #Little Mermaid”  remake.  Check out Ariel’s friends Sebastian the crab  and Scuttle the seagull.  Are they creepy or cute?
