Centennial Multicultural Festival

Take a tasty and melodic tour around the globe during the Centennial Multicultural Festival aimed at celebrating the melting pot of cultures that makes Riviera Beach special. The festivities, which will boast fusions and music from different cultures including African, American and the Caribbean Islands, are on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 2 p.m.-8p.m. at Bicentennial Park, 190 E. 13th Street. Patrons of the free event can expect a kids zone, exotic exhibitors, food vendors and live music.
“We want to recognize and celebrate all of the cultures that make up our City, as it took all to make the City what it is today,” Parks and Recreation Director Richard Blankenship said of celebrating the City’s culture during its Centennial year. The free event includes live entertainment from the Blue Stone Band, Fondo Blanco Latin Band, Jesse Jones Jr. Jazz Quartet, Willie Spence, the Derek Mack Band and Code Red Reggae Band. Centennial keepsakes including pop sockets for cell phones, t-shirts, commemorative cups and more will be for sale.
