Authorities in Miami are currently responding to a scene where an armed woman has barricaded herself in a vehicle.

The incident occurred Tuesday near North Miami Avenue and Northwest 20th Street.

Police have surrounded the woman and the vehicle, however, she is refusing to exit the vehicle.

Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area of North Miami Avenue through Northwest First Avenue, between 20th and 23rd Street.

It is unclear what prompted the incident.
