Pyongyang: North Korea Willing to Negotiate with US to Give up Nuclear Weapons

According to South Korean officials in Pyongyang, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un says he’s willing to negotiate with the U.S. about giving up its nuclear weapons.

Pyongyang is reporting this major break-through this week that a rare meeting is possible with the Northern counterparts and Kim himself.

The two Koreas have also agreed to a summit meeting between Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in late next month.

A statement from the South said the North seems willing to “denuclearize” if its security could be guaranteed.

The North has also reportedly pledged to stop nuclear testing during any such talks with the U.S.
