R&B legend Smokey Robinson received a Cameo request from someone who said his mother, Margo, grew up on the same street as the Motown star. The message Margo received was “They wanted me to wish you happy Chanookah. I have no idea what Chanookah is, but happy Chanookah.” It seems pretty obvious things were spelled out for him phoentically. After getting the attention for the mispronunciation, the 80-year-old singer tweeted out that he wanted a do-over and asked for the son to DM Margo’s number. Chanukah “any way he damn well pleases” and made note of Robinson’s contribution to music.
My mom grew up on the same street as Smokey Robinson in Detroit. So for Chanukah, I wanted to reunite them via @Cameo. But the video takes a strange twist. pic.twitter.com/IZ3S9WusiJ
