38 years ago – In 1980, “Star Wars Episode Five:  The Empire Strikes Back” hit theaters.  It went on to become the 12th highest-grossing film of all-time.

At the time, it wasn’t known as “Episode 5”.  It was just “Star Wars:  The Empire Strikes Back”.  And to anyone over the age of 35, it’s the SECOND “Star Wars” movie, not the fifth.
