TSA Testing Facial Recognition Technology At Airports

Stuff like ⬆⬆⬆ this is going to make it difficult, right?

Well, the next step in airport security is Facial recognition technology, and it’s coming soon to a TSA checkpoint near you.

Travelers will have to look into a camera that matches their face to the photo on their driver’s license or passport.

The TSA has already begun testing the system in 16 airports across the U.S.

The TSA says it is not storing the facial recognition data, and that travelers have the opportunity to opt out of the program.

How do you feel about using this kind of tech at airports?  Do you worry about expanding the so-called ‘surveillance state’?
