A runaway seal is taking to the roadways in Long Island, New York.  Over the weekend, the Southampton Town Police Department posted on Facebook that it detained a baby harbor seal at a traffic circle in Riverside.  The mammal was reportedly in a beverage store parking lot, but fled when police initially arrived.  The seal is now safely in the custody of a local rescue center.
